Social Networking Policy

The JDNC Committee considers that the use of social networking sites in any defamatory way is unacceptable. As such, the JDNC Committee has introduced this policy to assist players, parents and administrators to understand how these sites should and should not be used in the context of playing netball within the club.

The JDNC Committee supports the statement that all players, coaches and administrators should be treated fairly and that no person should be bullied or be taken an unfair advantage of.

From the commencement of the 2015 season the JDNC Committee has implemented the following rules relating to the use of social networking sites, including our club Facebook page:

  • no player, parent, coach or administrator shall use any social networking sites for any purpose which is contravention of the JDNC Policies, Codes of Behaviour and Codes of Conduct.
  • any player, parent, coach or administrator who use any social networking site for any purpose, who in the opinion of the JDNC Committee, is in breach of the JDNC Policies, Codes of Behaviour and Codes of Conduct shall face disciplinary action.
  • any player, parent, coach or administrator who is deemed to have breached the JDNC Policies, Codes of Behaviour and Codes of Conduct, as part of their disciplinary action may face dismissal from the club for that season.
